ROLE: POST PRODUCER TRAINEE

The Post Producer Trainee will learn the post production workflow and assist on projects from beginning-to-end, seeing edits through the online, mix and delivery process.
The Post Producer Trainee will learn or sharpen existing post production knowledge on software such as AVID, Pro Tools and After Effects. This Trainee will develop skills including project planning and oversight, scheduling, coordinating, budgeting, personnel management and effective communication.
At the end of the program, the Post Producer Trainee will have the skills necessary to pursue a job in the Post Production industry as well as a minimum of one (1) production credit for their resume.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Review all edits
- Manage creative feedback
- Keep editors on schedule and budget
- Anticipate bottlenecks and challenges
- Coordinate with other departments and third-party vendors
- Track stock footage and music
- Other duties as required/directed
ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES:
- Program is designed for Canadian citizens or permanent residents who identify as Black
- Participant needs to 19 years old or older
- Participant needs to reside in Ontario
- Experience with Avid Media Composer
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines
- Ability to function effectively in an atmosphere subject to frequent changes and produce results
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma
